Hari Dev Kaushal was a decorated Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACOP) in Delhi, hailed for investigating high-profile cases like the 1971 banking scam. Fluent in Pashto and Farsi, he introduced his sons to Afghan culture. Fondly known as 'Panditji', he passed away in April 2019 at the age of 91 after a long and honorable career in police service.
Ordered the probe into the legendary 1971 Rustom Nagarwala banking scam as Chanakyapuri SHO, later set to be portrayed in film.
