Biography
Sarika Thakur is an Indian actress and costume designer who began her career as a child artist at the age of 5. She gained prominence in the 1970s and 1980s with notable performances in Hindi cinema. Sarika won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in 'Parzania' (2005) and the National Film Award for Best Costume Design for 'Hey Ram' (2000). She was married to actor Kamal Haasan, with whom she has two daughters, Shruti and Akshara Haasan. After their divorce in 2004, Sarika returned to acting and has appeared in various films and television series.
