Shruti Haasan is an Indian actress and singer who works in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films. She is the daughter of actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. Shruti began her career as a child artist in 'Hey Ram' (2000) and made her adult acting debut in the Hindi film 'Luck' (2009). She gained recognition with her performances in 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu' (2011), '7aum Arivu' (2011), and '3' (2012). Her notable works include 'Gabbar Singh' (2012), 'Race Gurram' (2014), 'Srimanthudu' (2015), 'Vedalam' (2015), 'Si3' (2017), 'Krack' (2021), and 'Salaar' (2023). Apart from acting, Shruti is a trained classical dancer in Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam and has a successful music career with her band 'The Extramentals'. She is also known for her philanthropic work, serving as a Goodwill Ambassador for 'Save the Children'.
